History & Materials
The story
In 2016, the Belvedere made The Kiss its first tactile interpretation for blind and visually impaired visitors. A raised model translates the meadow, the embracing figures, and the golden field around them into grainy and grooved textures.

Figures in gold, silver, and platinum leaf with resin-oil colors on zinc-white-primed canvas.
Background in brass-based composition gold, glazes, and scattered metal-leaf flakes.
